Weekly Update from Mary

Have you ever lost something?

Have you ever lost something? What a funny question? Of course, humans lose notes…I had a list of what I needed to do today and to share for the Hunger Warriors Update today, but it is lost or misplaced…I have already sent my homemade food to my 93-year-old friend and got the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pick-up ready.

Underwear Drive

My first sharing is to remind members and friends of St. Paul Lutheran Church that we do gather all types of books from baby through college years to give to others from Redeemer Hunger & Crisis clients to the Epiphany Party Bags for Redeemer’s children. We also accept gently used toys, stuffed animals, coloring books, Bibles, crayons, plastic containers, used and new greeting cards, stickers, gloves, hats, scarves, toothpaste, tooth brushes, blankets, games, puzzles, underwear and socks for our present Redeemer Underwear Drive…

Lori Breskvar-Fuchs’s Birthday!

Today is Lori Breskvar-Fuchs’s birthday, which means that my 7-minute older twin-Brother John and I are celebrating our Birthdays too. We are praying for the Comfort Dog Walk on Saturday, September 21, from 10 am to noon at the Westlake Recreation Campus meeting by the Tennis Courts.

Chico is very afraid of other dogs that are larger than him, so we will simply contribute to the cause. Chico and I also have our Western Reserve Post Card Society duties on Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm.

COG – Community of Goodness

Of course, all clothing and household donations are also accepted to share with people in need. Simply talk to God about all the possible ways in which God can use you to make a positive difference in the lives of others… Praying for SPL Hunger Warriors to meet the needs of others, donating 6 food items monthly as COG -Community Of Goodness – members, and gathering items to donate as one declutters are great ways to help us share God’s Blessings and Love with others.

Donate Food

St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children. We need the above food items by Thursday, June 20, for the Immanuel Hunger Program Delivery. Bless you for putting the needs of others as a priority.
