We have great needs to meet…
Each month, we send food items – snacks and bagged cookies – to Our Family Home in East Cleveland for children and seniors. In addition, we send Ramen Noodles and SpaghettiOs to Trials For Hope in Lakewood.
Furthermore, we assist Immanuel Lutheran on Scranton with their monthly Food for the Neighborhood bags with cereal, noodles, canned stew, canned vegetables, cans of corned beef, canned sliced peaches, SPAM, canned chicken breasts, jars of peanut butter, jars of grape jam, variety oatmeal packs, and bagged cookies and snacks for between 36 and 48 families.
The remaining food items and expired food donations go to Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center at 2970 W. 30th in Cleveland.
Hunger Warriors also assists providing funds and helpers for the monthly meal at Lakewood’s Church of the Ascension and workers for Lakewood’s fourth Monday meal. These Hunger Programs THANK YOU for your personal dedication to assisting them in making a difference and meeting needs
Hunger Action Month
Yesterday, Hunger Network sent out an update that Hunger Action Month Is Not Over Yet!
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have raised $19,000 in three weeks while raising awareness for Hunger Action Month, a national call to action to end food insecurity. We need your help to close our gap to goal in the final days of September. When we come together to meet this challenge, an additional $25,000 will be unlocked, totaling $50,000 for our hunger relief programs. This equates to 150,000 meals for our neighbors experiencing food scarcity and increases their access to much needed resources. Please contribute today as we feed our communities’ future, so no one goes hungry and no food goes to waste.”
We are blessed to have our donations to Hunger Network doubled for the month of September if we reach $25,000.
During October..
During October, Hunger Warriors will be providing funds of $1000 each to three Food Programs of our 24 programs that we help. SPL Hunger Warriors/Hunger Ministry/Mary’s Food Friends will be assisting Royal Redeemer in North Royalton, Zion in Painesville & Christians In Action in Olmsted Falls, along with our monthly help for Our Family Home, Trials For Hope, and Lakewood’s Church of the Ascension meals.
