8-4-24 Update from Mary

Friday, August 4, 2024

Life is full of challenges and schedule changes…One needs a calendar to keep everything straight, simple, and up-to-date…It has been years since our family has had a fantastic event other than funerals. This year on Saturday, October 5, there will be a family wedding in Gerry, New York which is the same day as St. Paul Lutheran Servant Saturday…Where will Mary & Chico be? At the moment only God knows… Mary is getting forgetful as Chico is getting more loving. Meanwhile, Hunger Ministry/SPL Hunger Warriors is as busy as ever with Food deliveries and pick-ups.

St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children. We need the above food items by Thursday, June 20, for the Immanuel Hunger Program Delivery. Bless you for putting the needs of others as a priority.

SPL Hunger Warriors needs food item donations. Please click the button below to see what else needs to be donated!

How can you, God’s people, help? Keep your prayers focused on God’s Blessing of people donating time, talents, and treasures to keep Hunger Ministry running smoothly…We need additional food donations of stew, peanut butter, and grape jam/jelly. Your monetary gifts are deeply appreciated as we provide monetary assistance to the Westlake Assistance Program, Faith Lutheran Church, Our Family Home Center, Trials For Hope, and Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center this August.

Remember, September’s Labor Day Weekend begins our annual Underwear Drive to assist the clients of Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center. Look for the underwear sales this month as schools begin to reopen for the 2024-2025 School Year to assist Eunice Langner and Anita Fjeldstad in this wonderful Drive to meet needs.

Hunger Warrior Drivers and substitute drivers are still needed to assist with deliveries. Let Mary know if you are available (440-871-7067 or marycaresmuch@yahoo.com).
