Thank you – faithful Hunger Warrior – You are definitely the glue that keeps Mary & Chico moving forward in love and care…We have lost contact information that reaches Rose Polyak. She is no longer at the Brighten Gardens of Westlake which is now Fairmont Senior Living…The Brookdale Gardens at Westlake is now Westlake Pointe Senior Living. Management changes can drive one’s contact information crazy.

Christ – Our Gift From God – Thrivent Action Team is busy through Sunday, December 21, gathering cards and cutting up labels to use with the Cards For Others Ministry that sends greetings to members & friends in times of joy and sorrow.

SPL Hunger Warriors realize that Christ is the greatest gift from God. Each SPL Hunger Warrior has a JOB to share this gift in thought, word, and deed, so each member is being challenged to donate the cards and address labels that people receive free in their mail for our Cards For Others Ministry to use in remembering the sick, the elderly, death in a family, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays.

We will use the Action Team Card to purchase cards and stickers that assist the Cards For Others Team to share Christ – Our Gift From God. This calling to share Christ – Our Gift From God – is exciting. Check out the SPL Hunger Shelving on Sunday for an extra treat to thank you for caring and sharing Christ – Our Gift From God.

According to Luke 2: 10-18 (NIV), “But the angel said to them (shepherds), ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’ 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.’ 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” Blessings and Love as you celebrate Jesus – Our Gift From God – Mary & Chico
