SPL Hunger Warriors Update

Hunger Netwrok & MidTown Market
Hunger Network and its MidTown Market Choice Pantry at 4415 Euclid Avenue, Suite 110, in Cleveland are actively meeting the food insecurity needs of over 200 households monthly with “dignity, dedication, collaboration, and innovation.” Hunger Network’s Food Rescue Program provides hunger relief and sustainability as it delivers donated rescued food to centers for people to use instead of being sent to landfills as waste. This process is full of transformation and collaboration. At the core of this process is the need for dedicated volunteers…There is a great need for Westside Cleveland volunteers to assist Hunger Network in its mission to ensure “no one goes hungry and no food goes to waste.” If you feel the call to serve as a volunteer, contact Hunger Network’s Development Director Matthew Anderson at 215-619-8155, extension 118, to become involved as a Food Rescue Volunteer Driver, a Hunger Program Pantry volunteer, or a Hunger Network Ambassador. God is calling you to serve Him…According to Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center Director, Diane Zellmer, “Volunteers are the salt that makes the water boil. Salt preserves, enhances. And keeps things moving…just like our volunteers.”
Thrivent Action Teams
SPL Hunger Warrior Dives: Thrivent Action Team Collection for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center is still gathering jars of Peanut Butter & Jelly for Redeemer Hunger & Crises Center through December 15. Next is Hunger Warriors Dennis Wolf Family Meat for Immanuel Thrivent Action Team Event from December 22 through December 31. Hunger Warriors will be gathering cans of SPAM, chicken breasts, beef stew and corned beef for the January Immanuel Lutheran Church Neighborhood Food Program drop.
Epiphany Boxes
Remember – Hunger Warriors will be filling Epiphany boxes on Tuesday, December 30, at 9 am in the St. Paul Lutheran Cafeteria. Come and spend a couple hours filling our Epiphany Boxes with presents of Jesus’ Love…Hunger Warriors/Hunger Ministry sponsors the Redeemer Epiphany Party at Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center on Cleveland’s W. 30th on January 7, 2026, along with the Westlake – Bay Village Rotary Club.
Thank you so much!
Each of you is vital to our caring SPL Hunger Warriors/Hunger Ministry/Mary’s Food Friends Ministry and our Cards For Others Ministry…Feel free to donate cards and address labels which we cut the pictures off to use in our mailings…Thank you so very much for caring, serving, and praying for this Jesus’ Centered and Blessed Ministry Opportunity.
