Thanksgiving
SPL Hunger Warriors are so grateful at this Thanksgiving Time for all your support with food items, underwear and sock donations, hats and glove donations, snack donations, peanut butter and jam donations.
Your food donations, time donations, and money donations are very deeply appreciated as they reflect the love of Jesus to people in need.
Annual Underwear & Sock Drive
During December, SPL Hunger Warriors will be wrapping up the Eleventh Annual Underwear & Sock Drive for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center. We will be having two Thrivent Action Team Peanut Butter and Jam drives for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center in December, along with a Thrivent Action Team Snack Drive for Our Family Home in East Cleveland.
Plans are to also have a Thrivent Action Team Food Drive to gather food for the North Ridgeville Community Care Program during the last weekend in December.
In addition, the bagging of 300 gifts for the children at Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center for our January 6 Epiphany Party will be on December 26, 27, & 28 in the Cafeteria at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Marc’s
We have learned that Marc’s has puzzles for $1.49 and that Ollie’s has great prices on games. We do put a puzzle and game in our Epiphany gift bags for the families to enjoy. Remember, Epiphany is the day when the Wise Men arrived with gifts for the Baby Jesus. These gifts helped to keep Jesus’ Family safe.
Donate Food
St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children. We need the above food items by Thursday, June 20, for the Immanuel Hunger Program Delivery. Bless you for putting the needs of others as a priority.
