SPL Hunger Warriors are blessed to participate in:

• The November gathering of hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves for our Special Epiphany Day Boxes for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center’s Epiphany Party,
• The Twelfth Annual Underwear and Sock Drive for the clients of Redeemer Hunger and Crises Center
• Snacks for the veterans at Lorain’s Samuel L. Felton Jr. VALOR HOME
• Food for Immanuel Lutheran Neighborhood Food Program on Scranton Road in Cleveland.

Please bring one’s donations to the Hunger Ministry shelving in the Narthex or outside the Activity Center or drop off at the Levtzow’s garage at 2454 Dover Center (the Southwest corner driveway off Bassett Road).

There is also the wonderful St. Paul Lutheran Church and School’s WE CARE TOY DRIVE over Thanksgiving Day Weekend on November 28, 29, & 30 in the front parking lot from 10 am to 4 pm for Building Hope in the City’s families. Drop your new and unwrapped toys off as you find those dynamic sales to share God’s Love and become a special Santa’s Helper.

From December 1 through December 15, Hunger Warriors have a Thrivent Action Team Collection of Peanut Butter and Jam for the Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center at 2769 W. 30th in Cleveland.

Then the Thrivent Action Team Christ – Our Gift From God – runs from December 14th through the 21st; this Drive created by the Dennis & Lorilynn Wolf Family is to remind the members of St. Paul Lutheran that Christ is the greatest gift from God and now each member has a JOB to share this gift in thought, word, and deed. Each St. Paul Lutheran member and friend is being challenged to donate the cards and address labels that people receive free in their mail for our Cards For Others Ministry to use in remembering the sick, the elderly, death in a family, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays…We cut the pictures off the address labels to use inside the card or on the envelop. We will use the Action Team Card to purchase special cards and stickers that assist the Cards For Others Team to share Christ, Our Gift From God…The Cards For Others is an exciting ministry that can always use extra helpers…Let Mary & Chico know if you have time to assist them in sharing Jesus’ Love.

Next from December 22 through December 31, the Dennis and Lorilynn Wolf family is sponsoring the Thrivent Action Team Drive Meat For Immanuel to gather donations of corned beef, stew, SPAM, canned chicken breast to give to Immanuel in January 2026 for their Immanuel Lutheran Church Neighborhood Food Program.

SPL Hunger Warriors always need food item donations. Please click the button below to see what else needs to be donated!

The food item donations last week were awe inspiring at 632 items along with two boxes of diapers and one box of baby wipes. Thank you again for your dynamic and passion-filled assistance…

…Blessings as you SERVE JESUS,

Mary & Chico
