All Staints Day!
Happy ALL SAINTS Day…We give thanks to God for all His Blessings and for His Words in the Bible that guide our daily activities.
Special Caring Bags
On or before November 11, special caring bags for the 56 residents of Madison Commons Group Home at 8001 Madison Avenue in Cleveland will include toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, shampoo, deodorant, soap, cookie packs, apples, tangelos, cracker packs, candy, chips & pretzel snack bags, granola bars, pudding, applesauce, fruit snacks, Rice Krispie treats, and Christian literature that builds a stronger faith.
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Food Drive for Immanuel Lutheran Neighborhood Food Program on Scranton Road in Cleveland is being held during the first week of November. Immanuel needs cereal, variety packs of oatmeal, wide noodles, cans of stew, vegetables, peaches, SPAM, chicken breasts, corned beef, and jars of peanut butter and grape jam.
The third THRIVENT ACTION TEAM EVENT is the Thanksgiving/Christmas gathering of cookies, apples, crackers, candy, chip snack bags, granola bars, fruits and gifts for Samuel L. Felton Jr. Valor Home Veteran residents in Lorain. Try to donate on the week of November 13-19.
In addition, SPL Hunger Warriors has the St. Paul Lutheran’s amazing Underwear and Sock Drive for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center on W. 30th St. in Cleveland which ends the first week in December so that shopping for missing sizes can be done with Thrivent dollars.
Monthly Donations
We have our regular monthly donations of food items and funds for Trials for Hope that go under the bridges and Our Family Home Center in East Cleveland for children and seniors. In addition, our November monetary donations go to Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center, Immanuel Neighborhood Food Program, and Trinity Lutheran Church Food Ministry to assist in purchasing special holiday foods.
Bring your donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church at 27993 Detroit Road in Westlake or drop off at the Levtzow’s garage (Southwest corner of Dover Center & Bassett Roads – 2454 Dover Center with driveway off Bassett).
Donate Food
St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children.
