Essential Food Items This Week

This week, Dollar Tree has Pull-Top cans of Campbell’s Spaghettio’s and many other canned meats. Dollar tree also has paper products for $1.25.

Special Thrivent Action Team Hunger Drive

From November 5 to November 18, Ron Marinko is sponsoring a Special Thrivent Action Team Hunger Drive. The goal is to gather at least 100 cans of pull-top SpaghettiOs and/or other pull-top canned meats and 100 packages of paper products with special emphasis on getting the items to the Levtzow garage, driveway on the southwest corner of Dover Center & Bassett Roads (2454 Dover Center Road) by Wednesday, November 15, so Ron can help deliver them before Thanksgiving. Bless each of you for pitching in to assist people in need.

Epiphany Party Shoeboxes

Remember to look for all the specials that will help stuff our 200 Redeemer Epiphany Shoeboxes and bags including puzzles, games, books, small toys, toothbrushes, toothpaste, camels & other stuffed animals, blankets, towel sets, crayons & coloring books, gloves, mittens, hats, & scarves to donate.

Underwear/Sock Drive

We also need underwear and socks for our 10th Annual Drive for Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center on West 30th. The Underwear/Sock Drive ends the first week of December.

Arts and Music Program

On Sunday, October 15, from 3 pm to 4 pm, a special Immanuel Arts and Music Program – “Iberians and Romantics” – featuring organist and composer Shane Brandes on the unique Weissenborn Organ along with award winning jazz vocalist Ava Preston at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2928 Scranton Road, in Cleveland will be presented. A Freewill Offering will be taken, and a Reception will follow in Hoyer Hall. All are Welcome!

When our lives appear to become an extra challenge to help our neighbor, recall Jesus’ words from Mark 12:31(KJB): “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Then pray and take action. God will provide.
