Today, SPL Hunger Warriors have a challenge. By Thursday, September 18, we need to receive 160 more items for our Immanuel Lutheran Hunger Program’s delivery. Our two biggest needs are for 34 bags of wide noodles and 30 jars of grape jam/jelly. In addition, SPL Hunger Warriors need 22 cans of chicken breast, 21 cans of corned beef, 21 cans of sliced peaches, 14 large cans of stew or 28 small cans of stew, 14 cans of vegetables, and 4 boxes of Corn Flakes. If you can help donate any of these items, please drop off on the Hunger Ministry shelves at St. Paul Westlake Lutheran Church outside the worship areas or at the Levtzow garage at 2454 Dover Center (the Southwest corner driveway off Bassett Road). Thank you very much for your wonderful generosity and loving donations.

As you do your fall cleaning, SPL Hunger Warriors can use your donations of gently used toys, stuffed animals, puzzles, games, books, address labels from which we cut off the pictures as stickers, cards used and unused, stickers, household goods…Remember to pray for Hunger Ministry/Hunger Warriors…We are accepting underwear and sock donations in our bins for Redeemer Hunger and Crises Center until the first week in December.

Drivers are still needed as substitutes for the Redeemer Hunger Center deliveries and as pick-up furniture donation people. Let Mary know if you can help (440-871-7067 or marycaresmuch@yahoo.com).

The Mary’s Hunger Garden & Richard Braatz Garden have been providing huge benefits to the Redeemer Hunger & Crises Center Clients. Contact Ken Krauss at 440-899-1025 if you can meet him at church or at the Braatz garden and help pick.

Please recall: On Sunday, September 7, the Bach, Bacharach, & Friends Concert in the Sanctuary will start at 2 p.m. with vocalist Julie Myers-Pruchenski and Matt Ginter on the piano and organ. The Free-will offering gathered will bless Hunger Ministry. St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors are thrilled to be the recipients of this wonderful God-dedicated Performance.

St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children. We need the above food items by Thursday, June 20, for the Immanuel Hunger Program Delivery. Bless you for putting the needs of others as a priority.
