Lakewood’s Church

During the months of July and August, Hunger Warriors will be assisting Lakewood’s Church of the Ascension for their meal on the second Thursday of each month, Trials for Hope that serve two monthly Community Meals at Lakewood’s Church of the Ascension (first Tuesday & fourth Monday), and Our Family Home in East Cleveland that feeds seniors and children monthly. In addition, during July, Hunger Warriors will be supporting Lakewood Community Service Center and North Ridgeville’s Community Care Food Programs with funding. In August, extra funding support will be provided to the Westlake Assistance Program and Faith Lutheran in Avon which supports Zion Lutheran in Lorain, Ohio, with soap, toilet paper, and pantry items.

Special Items

Please note that during July, Hunger Warriors will also be collecting the following items for special bags for residents of Madison Commons Group Home at 8001 Madison Avenue in Cleveland to enhance their quality of life: peanut butter, grape jam, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, shampoo, deodorant, soap, cookie packs, apples, cracker packs, candy, chips & pretzel snack bags, granola bars, Rice Krispie treats, and Christian literature.

Thank you!

Mary & Chico are so very grateful for all the support of members and friends of St. Paul Lutheran Church through prayers, time, and gifts as each of us personally fulfills the description of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV): “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Blessings as you serve Jesus in thought, word, and deed, Mary & Chic
