Blessing on a new day
Blessings on your new day to serve Jesus in thoughts, words, and deeds. Hunger Warriors Mary & Chico have been busy getting our major May Food Pick-up ready for Immanuel Lutheran Church, especially since Chico wanted to start at 4 am instead of our normal 5 am start of our serving day. Hunger Warriors Mary & Chico are working on our Confirmation Gift bags and notes today. It is a JOY to recall the CONFIRMING of one’s personal faith in Jesus.
28th Annual Walk for Hunger
Hunger Warriors Mary and Chico find it hard to believe that the 38th Annual Hunger Walk & 5K Run at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is almost here. Walk for Hunger & 5K Run Hunger Warriors Team Members as a walker ($30), runner ($40), cheerleader ($20), or as a family of 4 ($100) are still needed for Saturday, May 30. Please use the button below to donate or join the Hunger Warriors Walk/Run Team. If you or your family join the Hunger Warriors Team at the website, one should use Coupon Code HUNGERWARRIORS to pay your team fee. PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO MARYCARESMUCH@YAHOO.COM THAT YOU JOINED THE HUNGER WARRIORS TEAM. Thank you.
St. Paul’s Rescue Food Garden
Remember to sign-up to assist Ken Krauss and his team in getting the St. Paul’s Rescue Food Garden/Mary’s Hunger Ministry Garden ready for planting. Sign-up will take place on Connections Sunday, April 26, in the Cafeteria at the Hunger Warriors table. Work-days are planned for Saturdays, May 23 and May 30. Phone or text your name, phone number, and email information to Ken Krauss at 440-679-2579 or kjdoc1@att.net.
Thank you!
Thank you for all your wonderful food item donations this past month. Mary & Chico are amazed at all the cereal price specials that are still available. When food is scarce, cereal fills the tummies with joy, joy, joy. In addition, Hunger Warriors can always use cookie donations which we re-bag into snack bags for Redeemer Volunteers, Redeemer Workers, Our Family Home clients, and Immanuel Neighborhood Food Program clients.
Keep your prayers for God’s Blessings on all the projects Hunger Warriors and the Generosity & Service Board undertake to meet needs. Redeemer Hunger Center is very grateful for the special New Mom’s Bags with dish towels, dish cloths, and cleaners.
