Lutheran Hour Devotions
Among today’s Lutheran Hour Devotions is “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58). Yes, all that we do for the Lord is not in vain. Our efforts to do the Lord’s Work Thrive and Grow. Thank you God.
Food Items Needed This Week
Our specific Food needs this week are canned chicken breasts and SPAM with a few cookies. We wish to thank all of you who have donated to our special April Drive for dish cloths, dish towels, and cleaners for new moms at the Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center. Each donator is a fantastic blessing of labor for the Lord.
St. Paul’s Rescue Food Garden
Remember to sign-up to assist Ken Krauss and his team in getting the St. Paul’s Rescue Food Garden/Mary’s Hunger Ministry Garden ready for planting. Sign-up will take place on Connections Sunday, April 26, in the Cafeteria at the Hunger Warriors table. Work-days are planned for Saturdays, May 23 and May 30. 28th Annual Walk for Hunger
Now that Hunger Warriors are in the afterglow of Easter, one needs to find ways to assist the Hunger Warriors Walk/Run for Hunger Team to create a strong team effort to raise our $10,000 Team Goal and to have Team Members at this fantastic experience at the Cleveland Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109) on Saturday, May 30, in the 38th Annual Walk For Hunger & 5K Run sponsored by Mary Cares Much to support Hunger Network’s 70+ Programs.
