Blessings on your day as you celebrate the Christ Centered Message of JOY – Jesus, Others, You – in your Hunger Warriors Service Every Day as Jesus’ Heart, Hands, Arms, Legs, and Feet.
As Hunger Warriors Pray, Praise, & Give Thanks, every Hunger Warrior has one key message guiding them: “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” Colossians 3:17 (NIV).
Food Items to be Donated
Food items to be donated this week include cans of SPAM, canned chicken breasts, macaroni and cheese with squeeze packets since butter and milk are not always available, and peanut butter…We can always use snack chip boxes and cookies to share with our food programs. Your kindness and generosity are deeply acknowledged.

During this past week, Mary & Chico received information concerning how since 2024 Concordia Gospel Outreach (CGO) started the Food Bank Arch® Book Program which has soared to amazing heights in its first full year of operation, now sending 10,000 Christian books to food pantries each week! This dynamic program has been helping others for over a year and SPL Hunger Warriors has just heard about it. If you want to assist this dynamic program to share Jesus through the Food Bank Arch® Book Program, go to cph.org/cgoarchbooks and make a secure donation. What a wonderful way to send Jesus into people’s lives and homes…Why did it take so long for Concordia Gospel Outreach (CGO) to let St. Paul Westlake learn about this mighty and dynamic program…One can donate in memory of a loved one or in honor of a grandchild or friend.
Pastor Jake Roedsens
Pastor Jake Roedsens from Our Savior Lutheran Church in Florida shared how there has been a “very positive reception of the Arch Books, especially for the Spanish-speaking families. They use these books as both a faith-growing tool and an English-learning tool…Arch Books made their way north to Wisconsin too, where Kati Young works at Grace Lutheran Ministries, a participating site. She emphasized that this program walks with food pantries to nourish both body and soul with the Bread of Life.” This program is phenomenal. Mary and Chico plan to send the names and addresses of our 23 programs in to CGO to see if they too can be put on the Food Bank Arch® Book Program.
