Board of Generosity & Service
Hunger Warriors along with the Board of Generosity & Service request soup and beef stew donations during February to assist Redeemer Lutheran Hunger & Crisis Center and the Immanuel Neighborhood Food Program. In addition, Hunger Warriors can use donations of boxes of Corn Flakes, variety packs of Oatmeal, SPAM, and cans of vegetables this month to assist Immanuel Lutheran Church’s Neighborhood Food Program.
Happy Valentines Day!
During the last hour, the temperature has risen 4 degrees. It is a true blessing to know that one’s Valentine’s Day & President’s Day Plans are more possible due to a more bearable outside temperature. Therefore, joyously pray for God’s Blessing on Hunger Ministry/SPL Hunger Warriors/Mary’s Food Friends’ ability to keep meeting the food needs – that the 23 food programs Hunger Warriors help – have seen increasing in their communities. Your donated food items, snack items, cookies, and household items go a long way in making a positive difference. Either bring your items to the Hunger Ministry shelving outside St. Paul worship areas or drop-off at the Levtzow white garage (Southwest corner of Dover Center & Bassett Roads).
St. Paul Westlake Church Center Group
Hunger Warriors Mary Levtzow and Chico José have always considered every member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School to be a member of Hunger Ministry/SPL Hunger Warriors/Mary’s Food Friends…According to Groups at St. Paul Westlake Church Center, Hunger Ministry/SPL Hunger Warriors/Mary’s Food Friends has 10 members. Mary and Chico are excited and will send these members the weekly Friday article information which I send to the SPL Hunger Warrior Web Designers. Spring Cleaning
As you Spring Clean your Food Cupboards, set items that you know you can spare aside for SPL Hunger Warriors. In this way, you fulfill Jesus’ response in Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV): 37 “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Bless your week as you SERVE JESUS in THOUGHTS, WORDS, & DEEDS.
