St. Paul Lutheran Church
As the entire St. Paul Lutheran Church membership rejoices over the 103 Birthday of Robert “Bob” Krone, may we also give thanks for all the years of service that Bob and his family have given his church and the City of Westlake. Bob and now his son Stephen volunteer thousands of hours maintaining the church building and grounds in thanks and service to God for all God’s Blessings. Stephen assists the St. Paul Ken Krauss Team in maintaining the St. Paul/Mary’s Food Friends Hunger Garden. Happy and Blessed 103 Birthday Bob!
St. Paul Hunger Ministry/ SPL Hunger Warriors
St. Paul Hunger Ministry/ SPL Hunger Warriors/ Mary’s Food Friends greatest need this weekend is BEEF STEW and Peanut Butter. All of the St. Paul Church and School members and students are doing an awesome job in providing items for Hunger Warriors to give to our Hunger Centers that we support…Our December Thrivent Action Team Drives were blessed beyond belief due the Food Advent Calendar and St. Paul members dynamic generosity…We are still feeling those blessings…Thank you from the bottom of Mary & Chico’s hearts. Redeemer has much more Peanut Butter and Jam. Our Family Home Center has many, many more snacks for children and seniors. North Ridgeville Community Care will be receiving an amazing amount of paper products and food items. You – God’s People – have been overwhelming in meeting needs.
Madison Commons Group Home
The residents at the Madison Commons Group Home were so grateful and felt honored by our loving bag of treats, personal care items, and Christian literature. The veterans in Lorain at the Samuel L. Felton Jr. Valor Home and the women veteran home were also deeply touched by our gifts and food items at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Epiphany Party
The wonderful Epiphany Party at Redeemer Hunger and Crisis sponsored by St. Paul’s Generosity and Service Board and the Westlake-Bay Village Rotary Club blessed over 100 children on Monday Epiphany Day with the remaining gifts being given out on Wednesday and Friday. The 3 Wise Men braved the cold weather to greet the people and load cars, wagons, and carts with these amazing boxes of gifts. We thank our Wise Men of David Snyder, Jeff Appel, and Rob Poloha. Mary and Chico also thank all of you – the members and friends of St. Paul – for your dedicated gifts of underwear, socks, games, puzzles, blankets, towels, Bibles, books to read, hat, gloves/mittens, scarf, toothpaste, toothbrush, stuffed animal, and small toys…The Underwear Team of Eunice Langner and Anita Fjeldstad are also very grateful for your Eleventh Annual 2024 Underwear and Sock gifts for the clients of Redeemer Hunger and Crisis Center. In addition, we must recall that the extra-large toys and stuffed animals donated will be used at Redeemer for a Valentine Event.
