Happy New Year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026! Hunger Warriors are now challenged to stick out like a sore red thumb sharing the love of Jesus.
First Tuesday of Each Month
The Beautiful Feet Ministry here at St. Paul Lutheran has started offering on the first Tuesday of each month the opportunity of washing and drying one’s laundry at no cost at Leo’s Laundromat (20210 Lorain Road) to local residents, and the Beautiful Feet Ministry will lovingly pay for it. This unselfish act sticks out like a red thumb. It is also an opportunity for Beautiful Feet Ministry Members to share the news and love of Jesus with others.
Epiphany Party Efforts
Likewise, the St. Paul Lutheran Service & Generosity Board along with the Westlake-Bay Village Rotary Epiphany Party efforts have made it possible that any larger gift donations created a special Valentines’ Day event at Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center to bless the children of the families served. God works miracles to assist Hunger Warriors in Blessing Others.
Thank you to all who donated all year of 2025 for our red thumb event that showers love similar to the Rose Parade’s Lutheran Hour Float sharing Team Jesus for the 75th year. Hunger Warriors Mary & Chico are already gathering items for the 2027 Epiphany Party under God’s direction. Hunger Warriors go with God in the lead each day of every year.
Reverse Advent Calendar
The Hunger Warriors Dennis Wolf Family Meat for Immanuel Thrivent Action Team Event through December 31 needs your support in gathering stew, canned chicken breasts, SPAM, and corned beef. Hunger Warriors can also use your donations of peanut butter and grape jam/jelly along with bags of wide noodles. Corn Flakes are Immanuel’s favorite cereal.
Reverse Advent Calendar
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Reverse Advent Calendar food donations. Over 15 bags/boxes of food were donated. These donations have and are blessing many families that have food insecurity. Hunger Warriors look forward to celebrating Advent with donations again next year. The Reverse Advent Calendar Collection is another red thumb event.
2025 Thrivent Action Team Events
In addition, all the 2025 Thrivent Action Team events at St. Paul Lutheran have truly made a red thumb difference. Hunger Warriors will be counting our donations received for the Dennis Wolf Meat for Immanuel Action Team Drive that ended on December 31 today. The donations of corned beef, stew, SPAM, canned chicken breasts, and cookie treats for Immanuel’s January Neighborhood Food Program are deeply appreciated.
2026 New Year!
As a calendar NEW YEAR starts for each of us, Hunger Warriors need to resolve to increase prayer time with God…The power of a heartfelt prayer seeking God to guide each of us to do His Will each day is powerful and sticks out like a red thumb because it seeks God’s Will first…Bless Each of You dedicated Hunger Warriors in 2026, Mary & Chico
