The last weekend of 2024
The last weekend of 2024 was very powerful in Hunger Warrior response at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School with the donation of 770 food items…Mary and Chico are so very grateful for all your dynamic support.
Hunger Warriors
Today, January 3, Hunger Warriors and members of the Westlake-Bay Village Rotary went to the Redeemer Hunger & Crisis Center on W. 30th in Cleveland to deliver 300 special Epiphany Boxes for the children of Redeemer’s Clients on Epiphany Day: Monday, January 6, 2025. Three Kings Day or Epiphany Day is when Jesus was revealed to the Wise Men as they came with gifts for Jesus and his parents, Mary & Joseph. Thus, Puerto Rican children leave a box with hay under their beds or outside their front doors on the night of January 5 so when they wake up, the Kings will have left gifts for them.
January
During January, Hunger Warriors will assist the Hunger Programs at Trinity Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and Redeemer Lutheran Hunger & Crisis Center to help them purchase food items for the New Year needs of their clients. We will also be delivering peanut butter and jam to Redeemer Hunger & Crisis, snacks to Our Family Home, and food and hygiene items to North Ridgeville Community Care from our December Thrivent Action Team Drives.
2025!
May all of the Hunger Warriors dedicate 2025 to be a year of prayer that God will powerfully use each one of us to meet the needs of the Hunger Programs we supplement and support through time, talents, and treasures…If anyone needs volunteer hours, contact Mary (440-871-7067 or marycaresmuch@yahoo.com). Hunger Warriors are needed to sort bags, wrap cookies, get Veteran items ready, create card bundles, sort and make donations usable…Bless each Family with the Epiphany that Jesus Saves, and then Jesus Sends us out to help others by sharing God’s Love…
Donate Food
St. Paul Lutheran Hunger Warriors still need Food Donations throughout the summer months; so, let us all try to bring one or two food items when we are able to attend Church this summer: peanut butter, GRAPE JAM, Stew, Corned Beef, WIDE NOODLES, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, canned vegetables, CANNED SLICED PEACHES, CEREAL, oatmeal variety packs, SPAM, canned Chicken Breast, RAMEN NOODLES, snacks for children. We need the above food items by Thursday, June 20, for the Immanuel Hunger Program Delivery. Bless you for putting the needs of others as a priority.
